KidCare ID Program

Project KidCare was developed by the Polaroid Corporation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. It was the first comprehensive program to educate families about child safety issues and encourage parents to maintain current standardized photographs of their children.

A KidCare Photo I.D. Event was held at the New Holstein High School. The purpose of the event was to provide parents with a free photograph of their children as well as current vital statistics which could be recorded in an enclosed I.D. booklet. (pictured above) With this booklet, parents would be given some "piece of mind" in knowing that they had appropriate information available should their child be lost or abducted.  The Department provided the funding for the purchase of the KidCare I.D. Kit .

Because of the outstanding success of this event, other Kid Care events will be held throughout the year.
